hace poco instale avast 4.8pero tuve que quitarlo ja que windows dejo de funcionar correctamente.tambien al analizar mi pc el avast se quedaba al cabo del rato colgado sin analizar.Alguien puede darme una explicacion i solucion?

Which was your old antivirus? How did you remove it?
How exactly does the scan freeze? Does it happen always approximately at the same place/folder of the scan?
Do you see a hard disk activity (when it freezes)? Is only the program frozen, or the whole computer (possibly with mouse cursor)?
Additionally, you can go to the program settings and turn on the creation of the report file (with “OK files” to be included as well in the report). This way, you can find out where the scan really stopped (it’s going to be close to the end of the report).
After avast! disappears, check the end of the report file - the “troublesome” file is likely to be close to the end (close in the sense that this particular file will probably not be written in the report, but the previous one will be the last line, so it shouldn’t be hard to guess). We would certainly like to have this file - if it really causes problems to avast! - so that we could fix the problem.
The report file created (if you turned it on in program settings) will be (default location) at \Data\Report\Simple User Interface.txt

pero de primero tenemos que saber si hubieras tenido otro “antivirus” o “firewall” o algo como esto en tu ordenador (antes de avast).
Yo te puedo ayudar Julio (I can help Julio if he wants)
1.- Que otro antivirus o FireWall tenías instalado antes de instalar avast! ???
2.- Como desinstalaste tu antivirus anterior a avast?
3.- Cuando corres un “scan” este se detiene en algún punto (siempre en el mismo archivo?) en particular ?
4.- Se congela todo tu ordenador incluído el ratón o nada mas avast?
Adicionalmente cerciorate de que en la sección de preferencias de avast, este habilitada la sección de Reporte (report file) con todas las opciones habilitadas, de esta forma, en el reporte, se va a poder ver en que punto exacto se detuvo el “scan”
Despues de que suceda tu problema, busca el folder Avast4\DATA\rEPORT\Simple User Interface
Abrelo y escribe aqui en el foro la última parte de dicho reporte.
Espero que esto te ayude. Yo tengo instalada la versión en Ingles, y algunas secciones de avast, son traducciones mias, pero creo que esta bastante claro.
