Sorry, I could not find a Welcome Forum and just posted here. I joined just to say that I have been using Home Avast for a long time and after d/l the beta of Avast 5, I am really over the moon with the new version !! It looks so much slicker and " up to the minute ". I am using Vista 32 and have not encountered any problems at all. Finally I would like to convey my sincere appreciation to the guys at Avast for all their excellent work. Thanks again ;D

Welcome to the forum. Just remember that avast! 5 is still in beta and therefore should not be used on your primary system as your main AV defense. There are still many bugs to work out and the virus data base is not up-to-date. You are however right in your observation that it's much slicker and will eventually be the best "FREE" or "PRO" available at any or no price. :)

If this isn’t a test system but a live system, I would keep a close eye on the beta sub-forums as there are some essential elements that aren’t fully functional.
