the virus known as WIn32:NcaseSpy[Tjn] killed my system had to have it completely redone avast didnt kill it in time.
Trojan killed your machine ??? Trojans ussually don’t do any damage. Are you sure that this did this?
Hi,
Ncasespy is merely spy/adware, which you could have found out easily via the board-search here, e.g.:
http://forum.avast.com/index.php?board=4;action=display;threadid=2858;start=msg20204#msg20204
and it surely doesn’t “kill your system”
avast detects it since 20.02.2004 … when did you last update ?
if avast missed it:
- tell us exactly where it was found
- check your settings for updating and for scanning in resident shield & on-Demand-scanner
no offense intended, By the time i got to it, it had infected enough to just start all over. i was on vacation and my oh so nosey neighbor who was supposed to fed my animals decided to go online and didnt tell me that ncase was infecting my system and tried to fix it on her own which made it worse. i just wanted to tell people that over time if left unfixed can destroy your system
This “Ncasespy” is not dangerous.
It doesn’t infect your complete pc, and i doesn’t delete or mess up system settings or files.
There is no need to “lose everything” when having this malware ???
just run ad-aware or spybot (both freeware) and your clean for 90 %.
just clean up the registery and .temp files afterwards for leftovers.
ad-ware & spyware just make your pc slow / compromise your privacy (little) and eat up your bandwith. nothing more, nothing less.
