Keep that somewhat older version!

Hi browser users on this forum,

I like to venture out where the main stream of browser users won’t go with FF and Flock browsers so I upgraded my Firefox Gran Paradiso 3.0a1 to the experimental 3.0.7, but halted the install when some vital security and other favorite extensions of mine would not run, this caused Assertion Failed with a null node Stack Trace 0:PU node ISFolder (undefined!) 1: dnxblpopuphidden (object MouseEvent) also to be translated as current browser settings ruined. So took back the version from another USB stick, transplanted the newer code I had inserted into the developer browser like IConfigureSiteChangeListener, EventUtilities.js, nsIURIContentListener : nsISupports etc back in, and behold wonders of the fourth dimension, all back, favorites, settings, so conclusion keep a version to be able to restore if something goes wrong, delete and put back. Final conclusion yet another lesson learned. I write this posting from that Gran Paradiso personal flavor,

Sometimes when you play with fire, you can get burned. The only advice is to do what you did. Have a backup or, a recent restore point or Image available. It is always best to prepare for an emergency while you don't have one. :) ;D :)

Hi bob3160,

Not only when you test or experiment, but also under other circumstances things will happen as they always do, it is good to have the possibility to go back or take out the last “occurrence”. Firefox 3.0 looks promising, and here is where I get part of my inspiration:

I’ve tested Firefox Gran Paradiso 3.0a1 and had nothing more than troubles with links, webpages saved in the computer, the definition of the default browser, etc.
Removed and will wait for the final Firefox version 3.
