Whenever I start KeePass from my usb stick, it’s bordered by this “DeepScreen” thing. After opening a database and a few seconds, presumably Avast restarts KeePass - this time without the DeepScreen thing around it.
At work, this does not happen. Same Avast, same usb-stick, same program. Which is absolutely great, because this DeepScreen is not helping me in any way. On the contrary - it’s only working to have me type the password twice, and to kill KeePass every first time. Can’t be too good database-wise.
First of all: why does this happen?
Secondly: how do I disable it?
Last: how do I tell Avast (the company) that KeePass doesn’t need or want whatever this DeepScreen stuff is?
/edit
Sorry, forgot to mention in my haste of reporting this problem:
- Windows 7 x64
- Avast engine 2014.9.0.2018
- Avast defs 140630-1
- KeePass 2.26
Shouldn’t matter too much, because no version of an antivirus solution should get in the way of any user using any program, imo. But at least it says something about the recentness (is that a word? :))) of my software.
