Key for linux avast not working! What to do?

Hi everybody.
I downloaded the rpm linux avast workstation and installed it on my Suse 10 pc. I have made the registration on avast home page for personal free version, but the key that was mailed to me can not release the avast already installed!

What is wrong?

Hi again. I have downloaded avast4workstation-1.0.1-1.i586.rpm from your post above and the problem continues: I put on my key that was emailed to me and it gives this message: “Could not resolve host: files.avast.com (Domain name not found)”

Can this be solved? Thanks again.

hi, I’ll try to solve this!
But now. Can you try to change ‘update_mode=auto’ to ‘update_mode=manual’ at /home/your_username/.avast/avastrc configuration file?
