Lap top temperatures .......

 Hi all
Just cleaned my fans and heatsink and new artic silver on chip and temperatures below the magic 50 deg c
Also started to use a £10 notebook usb fan 3 of them cooler.
Well good product using smart readings all down and nothing higher than 60 deg c when gaming for 3 hrs and full cpu and graphics.
Well worth the £10 and better than i thought.
WOULD BUY A 4 FAN MODEL NEXT TIME?
Anybody else using notebook coolers ?
What are your temps?
Note book is dell inspirion 9100 with 3.2 ghz northwood chip
prescott runs way way too hot.

My coolers seems to be working fine. Not that this worried me that much in a Compaz nx6320 notebook.
Do you have a link to the manufacturer of that cooler? I’m curious…

 yep ordered from www.aria.co.uk
good company and good products.

Strange, I’ve choose Laptop Coolers and get a blank page…
http://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Components/Fans%2C+Heatsinks%2C+Coolers/Laptop+Coolers/

It is in Laptop, Accessories, http://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Laptops/Accesories/Laptop+Cooler+with+3+FANS+?productId=27546.

I doubt they would send it to Brazil though ;D it would cost much more than it is worth ;D

Thanks David… I understand that it will be put bellow the notebook and be USB connected. I think it will change the ergonomy of the notebook (too thick).

Yes it goes under the laptop. Not a problem when most people use it on a desk, even less if used on your lap. no burnt legs ;D

http://www.tweaknews.net/reviews/antecnote/ couple of pages-it’s a review
the one i use on my 2 laptops
so you burnt your legs davidr ;D

No, I don’t have a laptop, but by all accounts it isn’t too uncommon.

I think the real issue is frying your balls. All those prats with their laptops literally on their laps at airports as if they’re doing some really important work are going to be rendered impotent. Darwinism in action…

EDIT: Typo!!

I think the real issue is frying your balls
OUCH! that's gotta be painful :D have 2 laptops and 1 desktop and ain't gonna happen to me :)

I have an iBook G4. And I use a Notebook Pad I got at Staples. Its just a rubber mat that puts room for air to flow between your lap and the bottom of the laptop, no fans. Works well for mine because I dont do any processor intensive tasks while on my lap temps stay less than 50C for CPU and GPU

Now When I plug it in and use it on my desk for encoding video the temps have reached 60C CPU and 65C GPU before but thats not a problem while on a desk.
