Laptop is Extremely slow when loading web pages!!!

I have run a MalWareBytes and an Avast Scan and nothing was detected on either one. At first I thought it was because we moved and now have slower internet but my husbands laptop seems to be doing well and he usually has multiple browsers open at one time. I have a HP ENVY and am running Windows 10. Sometimes I have to click reload for something to load.

Clear browser crap with this https://www.malwarebytes.com/adwcleaner/

Any change ?

Will try that in just a bit. Finally got FRST to diownload! Am attaching files.

Well for whatever reason the adwcleaner is going to take 30 minutes to download.

Wow!!! The Adwcleaner seemed to have done the trick!!! Thank you very very much!!!
Linda

Can you please post attach the AdwCleaner[C0].txt log file? Thank you.

I didn’t think to attach it earlier. I think it read all was ok. Thanks!!!

One more thing.

 • Open Notepad (click Start button → type notepad.exe → press Enter)
 • Copy text from code block below and paste it into Notepad
CHR NewTab: Default -> Not-active:"chrome-extension://fbbnihfalekonbonghmnficmklijeoop/newtab.html"
 • Go to FileSave As
 • Make sure that UTF-8 is selected as Encoding (left side of Save button)
 • Save it as fixlist.txt on Desktop
 • Open again FRST and click on button Fix
 • Wait until FRST finishes
 • fixlog.txt should be genereted and opened. Attach it your post and wait further instructions.

When I open Notepad there is no place that says start. Am I supposed to open one of the reports that I sent in?

He means the (windows) start button in lower left corner of your desktop :wink:

Anyway if you already have notepad open, just continue …

Ok, I have attached the “fixlog txt”

Good. That’s it.

The following will implement some post-cleanup procedures:

Purge System Restore
Click Run button and wait a few seconds for the programme completes his work.
At this point all the tools we used here should be gone. Tool will create an report for you (C:DelFix.txt)

The tool will also record healthy state of registry and make a backup using ERUNT program in %windir%\ERUNT\DelFix
Tool deletes old system restore points and create a fresh system restore point after cleaning.

Thank you everyone!!!

@SASS DRAKE

Why would you suggest to purge system restore points? Aren’t they important in case of some crazy incident?

Thanks

You remove old and get new fresh one

OLd restore points will be deleted and recent one will not be deleted.
