So, umm, yeah my laptop had suspiciously slowed down recently… I have Windows 7 (64-bit)
I ran avast and it detected some minimal threats, they were moved to the chest, but there were no speed improvements…
Could it still be a fixable virus/malware problem?

As for aswMBR, I had to set ‘AV scan’ to ‘none’, otherwise Avast would crash and aswMBR wouldn’t continue scanning, I don’t know why 
Nothing readily apparentr, it may just need a tidy up and defrag

[*]After the scan is complete click on “Clean”
[*]Confirm each time with Ok.
[*]Your computer will be rebooted automatically. A text file will open after the restart.

Have you defragmented the drive recently ?
It had honestly been quite a while since I defragmented because there’s high probability of ‘power outs’ where I stay, and if I am unlucky enough it will happen while I’m defragging xD I totally forgot about it and immediately thought I had malware (someone’s paranoid xD)
I’ll just have my drive defragmented somewhere else with reliable electricity and see if my device will get faster then…
