Could you screenshot the USB with Reatogo on it, it should look like this
Hi, thanks…here is the screen print
Natalie
Hmm that di not quite work… Does it look the same as my screenshot ?
Sorry try again
Now this is weird, could you transfer the data to the other USB (you will need to wipe it first) and then try again
Ok I have wiped the first USB and put the second boot onto that. Ive put it into the sick laptop and its doing the exact same thing…not booting to usb, just going from the acer screen to the windows error recovery screen, with a quick flash on the bottom of the acer screen that says preparing to boot os. Ive checked again and boot to usb is def top of the priority list on the boot list.
Just re-reading the thread you said that you were able to get to the command prompt, are you still able to do that ?
I can get to it by pressing f8 on startup, then repair my computer. I have it at the command prompt list now
OK… Pain in the butt time could you copy FRST to the USB, stay at the command prompt and insert the USB
At the command prompt type the following :
notepad and press Enter.
The notepad opens. Under File menu select Open.
Select “Computer” and find your flash drive letter and close the notepad.
In the command window type e:\frst64.exe and press Enter
Note: Replace letter e with the drive letter of your flash drive.
The tool will start to run.
When the tool opens click Yes to disclaimer.

Press Scan button.
It will make a log (FRST.txt) on the flash drive. Please copy and paste it to your reply.
That worked
It wont let me copy and paste as its too many chars…Ive attached the file…I hope lol
Download the attached fixlist.txt to the same USB as FRST
Run FRST as before and press Fix
Once done try a reboot to normal windows
Oh wow…its booted up. Is that it fixed, or is there something else I need to do? Was it a corrupted file?
Thank you so so much
Natalie x
Nope it was two bit defender drivers
Now that you are in normal windows could you do a quick OTL scan to ensure that there is nothing that was missed
Download OTL to your Desktop
Secondary link
[*]Double click on the icon to run it. Make sure all other windows are closed and to let it run uninterrupted.
https://dl.dropbox.com/u/73555776/OTL_Main_Tutorial.gif
[*]Select All Users
[*]Under the Custom Scan box paste this in
netsvcs
BASESERVICES
%SYSTEMDRIVE%*.exe
/md5start
services.*
explorer.exe
winlogon.exe
Userinit.exe
svchost.exe
winsock.*
/md5stop
CREATERESTOREPOINT
[*]Click the Run Scan button. Do not change any settings unless otherwise told to do so. The scan wont take long.
[*]When the scan completes, it will open two notepad windows. OTL.Txt and Extras.Txt. These are saved in the same location as OTL.
[*]Post both logs
Ok here we go
Nope looks nice and good, it was probably the windows update conflicting with the bitdefender drivers
Subject to no further problems
I will remove my tools now and give some recommendations, but, I would like you to run for 24 hours or so and come back if you have any problems
Now the best part of the day ----- Your log now appears clean
A good workman always cleans up after himself so…The following will implement some cleanup procedures as well as reset System Restore points:
Run OTL and hit the cleanup button. It will remove all the programmes we have used plus itself.
Clear Restore Points
Go Start > All Programmes > Accessories > System tools
Right click Disc Cleanup and select run as administrator
When it pops up at the first prompt select OK after it has done some calculations the tabs will appear
Select More Options tab
Press Sytem Restore and Shadow Copies Cleanup button

My pleasure keep safe ;D
I could cry…it was fine last night, turned it on tonight and its hanging again :'(. It ran a chkdsk for some reason, got past the green bar where it was stuck last time, loads windows blue page and input password and it looks like its going to load…but what loads is a black screen and a cursor which I can move around.
Is this a laptop ? If so remove the battery, turn the system on, leave it for a few minutes
Reinsert the battery and try again
If it is not a laptop then you may be looking at the hard drive failing
Yes it’s a laptop,but I don’t have the battery in, it’s just plugged in
