Hello,
Can anyone please tell me the latest updated version of Avast Home free.
My Avast does not seem to have automatically updated since 5th February. It shows current version 0507-0 as the latest update.
Is this correct.
Thank you

Hi Church Mouse,
‘0507-0’ is the virus definition version, and yes it is the latest version
The latest official Avast program version is ‘4.5.561’, however there is a BETA (test) version of avast that is out which is at ‘4.6.598’.
See the below link for a more detailed description of what BETA testing is:
http://whatis.techtarget.com/definition/0,,sid9_gci211654,00.html
it is up to you if you want to try the BETA Avast version, please see link below if you do:

Thank you lee16
I was just a little worried as normally there are updates nearly every day.
I could not find anywhere in the forums where update notifications are announced.
Thanks

vps updates (as has been explained in other threads already), happens once every two weeks.
Unless there is a huge security thread, than a new vps will be released asap.

Eddy,
I think you misread, I’m am almost 100% sure that it updates Twice a Week, rather then once every two weeks, but i will look more into it.

lee16 is right - standard updates are released TWICE a week as mentioned several times on this forum, in emergency there is of course another ‘special’ one (like right now - because of new version of Mydoom ;D)
