???Latest iAVS update was published at : 29.1.2004, version: 0401-8???

Hi there!
At the moment I am a little bit confused. As the avast.com server is actually down I switched to avast.cz where I have access to and read “Latest iAVS update was published at : 28.1.2004, version: 0401-7” but I have downloaded 0401-8. What I want to know is if this is a real update or a fake.

It is real, it was released only a while ago.
I suppose the changes didn’t propagate to the web pages yet.

Well I was a little bit unsure after all what I have read about that Mydoom worm and its posibilities…

thanks for that speedy reply Igor
I usually don;t try and bother you guys cause the answer by & large are on the site if I look - But this one confused me a bit
it seemed each day I was getting virus updates (database) one of the MANY reasons this is the Best anti-virus program out there -
So here you guys are on top of things and I get worried -DUH

Then when I new one just downloaded I said maybe this is a virus in itself

though all were listed on your site in order
guess there is no point to this post but to say I will never distrust you guys again
for those out there you should read the page on virus updates /history it is amazing how protected we are with avast

Will someone please help me understand? I have been getting a red box of not being able to update. I understand there is a problem. So I went to manually get the update. I downloaded it and tried to open it. I get an error message that a dll file is not a valid windows image. It also had the following error message:
Can’t install VPS update
Ver 4.1.335
SI: 0x00000002
ST: 0xFFFFFFFF
LE: 0x00000000.

Can someone help me please? Do I just need to be patient?
Thanks for any and all help.
???

Same error as above…

Could you post a screenshot of the error message, please?
What update did you manually download - the whole program installer, or the vpsupd file only?

There was a problem with the automatic update jan 28. i experienced it too. But it seems to be solved now.

I get a message that says access was denied. I have checked all the obvious possible solutions (e.g. firewall, restricted sites, etc…).

What’s up?
??? ??? ???

Please post the setup log (the file \setup\setup.log)

A funny thing happened while I was waiting on your reply…

IT UPDATED!!!

Thanks, patience never was my bag.
