With the most recent update to AVAST 19.4.2374, definition 190418-4, AVAST now blocks emails from one of our programs, Fishbowl Inventory (works with Quickbooks Pro).
We are running Win7Pro 64 bit. The problem JUST started. Disabling AVAST stops the problem. So far, I have not found just which part of AVAST is causing the problem. For instance disabling email doesn’t restore functionality. I’ve tried disabling the shields one at a time and eventually, functionality is restored so I think, aha! That is what is causing the problem…put that shield back on line…still no problem. Put all shields back on line, still no problem!
The only sure-fire way to disable the problem and to put the problem back is to use the global disable all shields, restore all shields. Doing them one at a time seems like they are not doing what they claim to be doing (disabling or re-enabling them.
Anyone else experiencing such oddities?
