Latest virus definition crashes my pc

Today my pc crashed 3 times due to aswSP.sys. I had to uninstall avast free.

My program version: 18.8.2356 (build 18.8.4084.409) - from 15/11/2018
My virus definition: 181213-2 (release date 13/12/2018 12:14:49)

Before this I had no problems for 8 years. Today my PC crashes within 5 minutes when booted. I think something is wrong with the virus definition.

Thanks for your report/dumps, devs are investigating the issue.

I uninstalled and reinstalled Avast free (downloaded it again), and the crashes disappeared, even though I see that both the program and the virus definition versions are the same versions as when it was crashing. Strange, but happy now that it works :slight_smile:
