After uninstalling avast premier on windows 10 64 bit, it leaves behind the following folders with files on them:
C:\Windows\WinSxS\amd64_avast.vc140.crt_fcc99ee6193ebbca_14.0.24210.0_none_56aba0211ca246c2
C:\Windows\WinSxS\x86_avast.vc140.crt_fcc99ee6193ebbca_14.0.24210.0_none_9e58d6f8311e6fc8
C:\Windows\WinSxS\x86_avast.vc140.mfc_fcc99ee6193ebbca_14.0.24210.0_none_a338d8ea2df29efb
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\AV\avast! Antivirus
Only the last one allows you to remove files, which actually prevents the update notifier from showing up after uninstalling the product.
I have to clarify, the normal uninstaller proceeded successfully, and I even tried running after the successful normal installer to run the manual remover from your website from safe mode and the files are still there.
Any attempt to remove the folders in safe mode or regular multi-user mode says it needs permission from Trusted Installer and I don’t have access to that even though I am the system administrator.
I assume those files are harmless and not used, but I would like to remove them from my system and I want to know the best method, and to notify you guys that both uninstallers are missing files.
Any help is appreciated.
