lexplorer.exe

 Yes I used the “Search option”, and found what I wanted to find.(W32.HLL.SODABOT) (lexplore.exe). Which AVG,Avast,SpyBot, never detected on my System.

Windows ME.
Avast 4.8 (latest update)
SuperAntiSpyware
SpywareBlaster (no updates since 4/6/8 ???)
CCleaner
Scotty
Tiny Firewall (old version)

Most of the time when I go to do a shutdown or restart I will get (lexplore.exe) not responding. then maybe TBSOD, or maybe I can do a cntl, alt, del, and reboot.

My question is, (see attachment), do i have to install Symantec’s Software to get rid of it ?? Thanks (And search is the way to go)

Here you go.

Is your Topic Title a typo as iexplorer.exe is likely to be malware as the correct file name is iexplore.exe ?

Will double check, and re-post. Thanks

Thanks, will check this out and re-post,

It is (lexplorer.exe) small (l) like in love.

It isn’t the small i that I was concerned with, but the extra r at the end of the file name, iexplorer.exe that is my concern the legit file name is iexplore.exe and lives in “C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe”

Try the solution in the link and please let us know.

OP originally posted lexplore.exe

I was commenting on the Topic Title which is different and wondering which was correct, the title ot the post.

When it “crashes” me again i will triple check the name and repost. (dam these hackers and virus spreader’s). Why don’t they get a life and a real job !!!

Sorry DavidR, I didn’t word my post as well as I thought. It made sense to me when I read my post at the time.

I was also wondering the same.

It is, “lexplore.exe”
