LEXPPS.EXE

i use Kerio personal firewall, and there’s a popup messege that says
“Incoming connection Alert
LEXPPS.EXE”

I heard that it’s a printer related connection, but i’m not sure whether to allow it or not.
Any advices appreciated.

Win xp, avast home, kerio personal. Thanks.

Do you have a Lexmark Computer? This extension for Lexmark Printer Sharing over the network. If your not using the network for your printer, block it and your printer should still run fine. (I use to have Lexmark but swtich to HP)

Don’t allow it if you do not have a network printer.

Here’s what you should know about lexpps.exe:
Author: Lexmark International Inc
Part Of: Lexmark Printer Sharing
System Process: No
Background Process: Yes
Uses Network: No
Hardware Related: No
Common Errors: N/A
Memory Usage: N/A

Hope that answers your question.

i only have dell and epson printers, that means i shouldnt allow it right?

Thank u guys.

Some (or all ?) DELL printers are actually Lexmark and rebadged as DELL. I have the free “DELL 720” printer with my DELL PC and have blocked lexpps.exe both ways.

I have the same one too and also came with a Dell pc ;D, so it doesnt really affect anything if i block it?

mine works fine and like the others say- its for network printer sharing, not a standalone PC.

i see, thanks a lot for the replies guys.
