Licence expires in 3 Month after updating from avast6 to 7

Hello, when I put back an (old) image on my brother´s Pc (W XP Home 32bit SP3) there was avast free 6. I immedeately made an update to version 7 and registered the software. The program shows me that the licence expires in 3 month.
On a 2. PC (W 8 64bit) I installed directly avast free 7 and there licence expires in a year! after I registered the software.

Why is this different ?

Do you mean avast! Free? It might have something to do with the re-imaging and date change (is the system data set correctly on that machine?)

I had a similar issue with one of the v7 beta versions. Can’t remember anymore which one it was.
@OP: Anyway, it’s no big deal as you can reregister, when the 90 days are over to get a new 1 year license. :wink:
