Licence file question

Hi Awil Team :slight_smile:

As mentioned before I decided to go for the 50% discount offer for AV Pro users to upgrade to AIS for 3 PC’s. I just bought a licence because it is the last day the offer is available :wink: Now I have 2 questions :

  • I received a licence.dat file. Should I change it from a .dat file to a .avastlic file, or is there maybe another procedure for the upgrade ???

  • Is it OK that I activate/upgrade in about 1 a 2 weeks when I have more time ??? ( I know the license is valid from the day of purchase and not the day of activation, but that’s no real problem with a 3 years licence :wink: )

Act in haste repent at leisure, changing the file type could result in the file not passing any validation and bang goes your license file. I would be talking to sales (at) avast.com before I did anything.

You are right, there is no hurry :slight_smile: I have 2 AV Pro licences ( 1 year and 3 years ) from witch I want to upgrade the 1 year licence ( and keep the 3 years licence as it is :wink: ) Better to contact sales first indeed :slight_smile:
