easiest method is to re-register and wait for new one
Make sure you haven’t copy&pasted empty space at the end of the key.
You can type it by hand to be sure. Also doublecheck if everything is ok.
I registered Avast 4, rec’d my Key and the only thing I haven’t tried to get it to take the Key is standing on my head. So I re-registered and lo and behold, I received the very same Key.
Any other suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated. :-\
I’d suggest that you start a thread in the avast 4 part, and have you tired a repair of avast? start>> control panel >>add/remove programs>> avast>> change\remove >> repair?
it appears there`s a problem with validation/licence key generation at present . I suggest you and any others try to persevere with demo mode for a day or two until someone from alwil team announces a remedy in announcements forum.
If you re-register with the same email address, then you will be recognised as having already registered and a copy of your previous key will be sent.
Also check your system date is correct.
As mentioned previously, you have a long trial period (60 days), so there should be no immediate rush, unless of course you waited 59 days before registering.
- Check system date/time
- make sure there is no trailing space when you copy/paste the key
