Voicemaill containing my attached License Key is at .DAT File. When trying to open for License Key I’m directed that Windows cannot open.
What’s the best way to the answer.
Thanks

The license key is send in the message body and not attached as a file.
At least, the Home/Pro version of avast.
Which avast version are you using?
Also, using your email address as your login name could fill you with spam from other people that ‘read’ the site looking for email addresses.
The product is Avast 4 professional Family pack. In the body of the message
is referring to the attached file.
Ok. I’m not familiarized with this version.
Hope Alwil team could say something.
Other possibility is sending a mail to sales (at) avast (dot) com
Hi BVDS
AFAIK, avast! license codes are sent in plain text, like Tech said.
The only .dat email files I’m familiar with is winmail.dat which occurs when someone sends me a formatted message via MS Outlook. The problem is that no other email client supports Outlook’s TNEF protocol so the formatting information arrives as an attachment ‘winmail.dat’.
Is this what you have received?
Does “Voicemaill” redirect using Outlook/Exchange?
License file is used for Professional Family Pack - you can insert it into the avast! WHS and it will autmatically insert license key into your avast! Professional on your home network (those which are connected to the WHS server).
License key (if you need to use it manually) is in the dat file, which is plain text. Save this file onto your computer and make its backup. Then open this dat file in the Notepad.exe program. License key should be visible.
