License

Hello,

my avast license key will be expired in 1st of September 2011,
the problem is, how can I renew the license key?

do avast provide any services or supports for this kind of situation?

thanks

what avast do you have, free / pro / AIS

Avast keeps track of your licensing information for you. About 10 days before your expiration date, you will get a pop-up notice that it is time to renew your license. After you get that notice, all you have to do is open the Avast GUI. Than click on the Maintenance Tab. Select Registration and fill out the form. Now click submit. That’s it! If you have a paid version, options for renewal and payments should be made available for you when you first get your expiration notice. In your case, you should get something from the program around August 20th. But Avast won’t push anything out before that.

PS. If you reinstall the program, you MUST fill out the license key form again. If you are on a paid Avast version, I would say, write down your license key or type it into something like Notepad or Wordpad and save it. Than after the new install, when asked to enter your license key, copy and paste the license key into the program. Time remaining should be adjusted accordingly when the old paid key is entered.

If you are still have a problem, especially with a paid version of Avast, come to the forum and submit a topic with this subject. License Key Version Problem. Indicate in the thread title or body of the message the version of Avast you are running, and if you have the free or paid version. We should be able to help.

I’m using avast free antivirus
