Lineage2 Again

Once again there has been an update to LineageII and avast is reporting “Sign of “Win32:Trojan-gen {Other}” has been found in “C:\Lineage II\system\l2.exe” file.” this has to be a false positive. Can something be done or would you “avast” like a copy of the l2.exe file in question to check it over. People who are running avast now can not log in to there game that they are paying for.

Thanks for you help in this matter.

yes, this is very frustrating. i have the whole lineage 2 folder on my exceptions as well as the specific file but it still gives me the false positive.

The reason why avast is detecting the game is because of GameGuard (anti-cheat program) as it’s used on certain games especially MapleStory.

l2.exe is again detected (false positive)… it gets annoying

Why shouldn’t it (Lineage) added to the test set of applications and avoid further false positives? ???
