Linux-Command-line options ?how-to?

Hi,

I tried to find any example for the command-line options of avast with debian sarge.
all installation was fine with workstation version 1.07.
But her some strange results I got: :o

/# avast -V
avast: avast v1.0.7
VPS: 0659-1 (date: 16.12.2006)
Copyright(C) 2003-2006. ALWIL Software. All rights reserved.
plato:/# avast --usage
Usage: avast [OPTION…] <areaname…>
Try avast --help' or avast --usage’ for more information.
/# avast -tA -r / ?
avast: can not open report file: Is a directory
/# avast -tA -r ?

Statistics:

scanned files: 0

scanned directories: 0

infected files: 0

virus database: 0659-1 16.12.2006

test elapsed: 0s

/# avast -tA -r find / -print
-su: /usr/bin/avast: Argument list too long
/# avast -tA -r firefox
avast: can not open report file: Is a directory
plato:/# avast -tA -r ls -R firefox
avast: too many paths to scan

What is wrong on these commands - and also - how is defined on the command-line the area??

By the way, the GUI seems to work… -

thanks in advance for Your feedback.

Bye
