LNK:Jenxcus-P [Trj]

Hi all.

I need help with removing this LNK:Jenxcus-P [Trj] trojan. I have been reading other similar forums on this issue, but I don’t want to break my machine(as my machine is different and the text that said that was in red and bold). Avast can’t remove/detect it, but will only detect it when I connect my flashdrive.

Attach your basic diagnostic logs. (MBAM, FRST and aswMBR)
Instructions: https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=53253

Sorry, I don’t think I have(or even know) any of those programs. Would you be more specific?

Well, get them.
The links are in that post.

MBAM = Malwarebytes Antimalware
FRST = Farbar Recovery Scan Tool
aswMBR = aswMBR

Avast can't remove/detect it, but will only detect it when I connect my flashdrive.
Install MCShield, connect your flashdrive then post MCShield log here You find MCShield and instructions at the same link given above

Just an update.

MCShield did not pick up anything on my infected USB Drive. I think the reason is because Avast was constantly removing the file(or whatever file it is). MCShield reported no threat found while Avast continued to alert of a virus/threat on my flashdrive until I removed it. Malwarebytes reported no threats, while the other two programs completed without hindrance. I have also attached the required files.

The malware removal expert that usually work here is in Canadian time zone so it may be some hours before he is online :wink:

Thanks Pondus. :smiley: I just want to get rid of this silly trojan. Currently making my life a little harder. I have also attached the MCShield scan log, just to make sure that who will need it has all the resources. :smiley: Let’s get rid of this Trojan! >:(

Pleas copy and paste MCShield log, a forum issue makes it look like chinese when attached (only MCShield log)

Did you install a proxy server yourself ?

It looks like you have WinRar and 7zip.
Winrar is not free.
Did you buy it ?

- If for some reason the tool needs a restart, please make sure you let the system restart normally. After that let the tool complete its run.
- When finished FRST will generate a log on the Desktop, called Fixlog.txt.
Please attach it to your reply.

@ Pondus Should I still copy and paste the MCShield Log as a post?

@Eddy Not really, but I am at varsity and we use a proxy. Yeah, school paid.

@dbrisendine Executing your commands now.

I have attached the file you requested dbrisendine.

@ Pondus Should I still copy and paste the MCShield Log as a post?
@dbrisendine will ask for it if he need it ;)

How is your system running now? Any more messages about the trojan?

I connected my flashdrive today and didn’t see hear Avast at all. Nothing. Tried it three times. I opened my flashdrive to check, and everything was intact. All my files were visible and accessible.
I also attached the AdwCleaner log.

@ dbrisendine I just want to make sure, am I good to go, or is there something I still need to do?

Great! Let’s get the tools cleaned off your system and you on your way …

http://i1351.photobucket.com/albums/p785/dbreeze2/just%20stuff/DelFixSelectall_zps0f04cec4.png

  • Click Run
    • The program will run for a few moments and then notepad will open with a log. Note: Please save this log first before rebooting your system (if asked to); DelFix does not save the log as it is trying to remove all traces of our work on your system. Please attach the log in your next reply.
      You can delete any log files left on your desktop as these are no longer needed.

Just a quick question, does this malware change Internet connectivity settings?

Anyway, here is the log. Only now I wait for the green light. :smiley:
