Load Avast After other System Services: Check or Uncheck in Troubleshooting?

I need some opinions,

Sometimes, when I boot up my computer, the bootup is actual pretty fast, about 40 seconds on my old Windows XP (SP-3) machine. Start Up Services are good and I know how to use MS Config. But sometimes my machine takes a little while to open up the browser and to start Internet Searches. I have users on this system who at times are not really patient with waiting for things to load. So what I was wondering is if I were to check, “Load Avast After Other System Services”, could that make a difference? Many have reported that it makes the boot time of the computer go faster, and I suppose this is true if Avast has to look for updates, which is the default on every reboot. What’s the consensus of the forum? I am thinking of checking this box to see if it makes a difference. I assume there is no harm in checking the box.

I tried checking it and the first time, when I rebooted, even though I could browse, my wireless Internet said, “Acquiring network address.” In the second restart, it did seem to be a bit faster, so I am going to leave it checked and see what happens.

For speeding up startup and preventing probems with other programs, I have this checked.
Works good, no harm, no problems…

I have this selected on my XP Pro system.

MS Config is not a good boot up manager:

Why can’t I use msconfig to change my services?

The reason is because with msconfig and Hardware Profiles, you can disable services that may be vital to boot your system. With the management console (services.msc) you cannot. Also, msconfig, while unchecking the box, is disabling the service.

WinPatrol is much better:

I like and use:

Delay Auto-Startup programs for quick bootup
