have a problem…i use mozilla thunderbird as my pop3 mail account and i have my insighbb.com address as well as my gmail.com address on there and from webmail.com http://webmail.mozdev.org/ i can get my yahoo.com email on thunderbird with an extension…problem is i can receive my yahoo.com mail but when i try to send-they ask for a password for my localhost…Huh? i tried my ip address-yahoo password and insight and gmail…does anyone has a solution@@@@
I would love to attempt to help but I can’t read either of the images, you are still doing full screen images, but not reducing the size which means we/I can’t read.
If your server requires authentication, which I assume it does, then you need that option checked, and in the settings, it would allow for the user name and password to be entered. This should avoid the request for a password, image example of OE6.
However the use of the webmail to pop3 may work in being able to get in with avast scanning, but I don’t know how the thunderbird webmail extension would work with smtp to yahoo webmail.

Yes I did, you have a full screen image which you have resized to 646x404 so that has effectively halved the size.
Compare that with the image I posted, 596x412 which is the actual physical area that the image takes up on screen a 1:1 ratio. If I took a full screen image and reduced it to around 600x400 from a 1680x1050 (even larger than your screen resolution) down to 600x400 and you can’t read it.
the yahoo.com mail on thunderbird works now davidr -the account settings on my yahoo.com outgoing server(smtp)had one mail.insightbb.com(for my insighbb.com email)and one gmail-stmp.gmail.com(for gmail) and three webmail-localhosts(for yahoo) so i deleted 2 of the webmail-localhosts and now it works…can now receive and send on my 3 email accounts on thunderbird…
just as long as you don’t check leave on server and do a few settings in your gmail.com mail settings-thunderbird will do it all for you…can send and receive from all three accounts on here ;D
hold on i have a aim account too(aol-hell) i can use on here too!!!
and even on one server…it shows the sent or returns email addresses of all 3(insightbb.com-gmail.com-and yahoo.com)
I thought it would have to be email account settings as there is no localhost password, certainly not for avast. I thought it would be the password in the account settings though, as that is what it was complaining about.
