Continuing the discussion from Default Firewall Rules don't make Sense?:
Same here, moreover, yesterday every visit i made to any site was sent to a third dns server related to avast, but nowhere to find on or in or at my system, without dnsleak i would not have a clue, later on it was somehow changed and when i checked the ip i got 2 results in google, with no text below it, just completely blank, definitely not any normal google page one gets to see with little or no results, among those 2 results was the site [*].com.
I have tried to block that invisible 3rd dns server in chrome, firefox, internet explorer and edge and also by address, name and url in malwarebytes, in avast, in dnslock, in windows hosts file, but dnsleak kept giving me the warning even after restarting the system, and while it was explainable when it was an avast related ip at first, it is a mystery when it changed into the other ip.
My subscription is ending in a few weeks, and that is exactly where this mystery will end too, no offence to anyone intented, but i think i should be in control and not anyone or anything else, unless they pay whenever i buy a computer, but i paid for it myself
