im on a rooted sensation… when i test out the lock command… the siren goes off but im still accessing everything on my phone… what did i do wrong???

I suspect it to be the HTC Sensation.

Its an HTC Sensation 4G

The lock issue will be fixed in the next official update.

update 1999 has just been released and it fixes this problem.
