Locked out at start up.

There’s nothing like that, either you’ve avast! Pro or AIS.

  • Which avast!..?? (Free/Pro/IS/Premier)
  • Which version…??
  • OS…?? (32/64 Bit…? - which SP…?)

I was running the free version.

A window popped up stating my free session was over.

I paid for a annual subscription, with password protect bolt on, it then tool me through setting up master passwords etc, then I closed down, later tried to log on, but all locked.

Totally bamboozled.

Without logging onto my admin user account I can’t answer your q’s.

why didn’t you stay with avast! Free ?

Looks like a full reinstall is necessary.
