Log in avast! account : "unfortunately avast mobile security has stopped"

Hello!
I tried to log in with my avast! account on my Galaxy S3, but every time I key in the informations :

  • User name (my email address used in my original avast! account),
  • Password (it is the right one, I already used the “forgotten password” option to make sure),
  • Phone number (in China, where I live)

Then I get the following error message : unfortunately avast mobile security has stopped
And I’m sent to the app first page, asking for my pin number to access again avast! mobile…

If anyone can help, it would be great!
Thanks!

as it is too late, I have to sleep, I can not solve your problem here I leave the tutorial

Hi,

is this during the setup wizard or are you trying to connect via app Settings?

Filip

Thanks for you answers.

Jefferson : thanks for the user guide but it does not solve my problem.

Filip : this problem happened after the app installation, when I try to log in using my existing avast! account. in app settings

Hi,

if it is in app Settings that’s good since I might be able to help you. Reproduce you problem (~crash), then start Mobile Security, go to Settings-About-Send feedback, tick all the checkboxes and enter valid email address. After sending the feedback, you should receive an automatic reply to your inbox with ticked ID. Post the ID here, I will find the report and can look at it.

Hi,

since you sent the report already, I took a look at it anyway  It seems that the app wasn’t properly installed. Did you, by any chance, restore the app somehow (using Titanium Backup for example) instead of installing it the common way?

Filip

Hi.
I download the app for my new phone from Aptoid or avast! website, I don’t remember.
then i root my phone. I believe the problem comes from there,
after uninstalling the app and install it from Google store, it was working perfectly!
thanks again for your help Filip.

Hi,

I did a brief search on Aptoide and it seems there are only very old versions there, I really recommend to download apps from Google Play if possible, you should always get recent versions
