Put new hard drive on my lap top. Older think pad with Windows XP pro. Now I need to get my Avast back as I have bought it for two computers. How do I go about getting it back on my lap top?
I’ll assume that contrary to the instructions to save it to a safe (external) place, your license key was on this HDD? ;D
If so, then you need to get your license re-sent to you>>http://www.avast.com/resend-license-paid.php
And you will also need to re-install Avast! (unless you already did) , here be links to both Pro/AIS setups, since you did not mention which you had.

The license key I have does not work. Also when I went to recover my license key they said my email was no good. I bought this for two computers for two years and on my desk top it says I have over 600 days left. I loaded the free version on this laptop just to have some protection but i sure would like to get my payed version back. I did down load it, but now I am stuck. Not sure what to do next.

Back again. Send sales a Email and no reply. I am not sure what to do now. The license key I have might be from the previous Avast that I had. Any other help would be appreciated. Thanks, Pete
I feel like an idiot. :-[ I had the license on my WD pass book. I have it inserted now any every thing is good
