Today I downloaded a!5 (English) and newest (?) VPS and installed both after each other over my previous, correct working v. 4.8 (German). Than I wanted to update via tray icon, later in UI menu but I got only gray display witout working update possibility.
Than I wanted to make complete scan of my PC but under SCAN/SCAN NOW there were no pre-defined scans (only couple of icons on the left side without texts) so I tried to make my own. After creating it I wanted to start it by pressin green START NOW but nothing happened. Even reboot did not help. What is wrong?
I had the same issue with the SCAN NOW section not having any pre-defined scans and just icons after installing on top of 4.8. But, a reboot fixed that issue for me, so i’m not sure what the deal is with yours. Either try to repair the installation or just uninstall and reinstall it.
I rebooted (2nd time!) and now all was o.k. Thanks!
