Well, I loaded the program and got it running pretty quick. Everything worked, both the a and i spheres were visible. I got vocal announcements of updates. Then I had a problem where the Microsoft defender was in conflict and I runinstalled it. The program appears to work, but the vocal update announcement has not been working. Anyone had this problem?
Right click the ‘a’ blue icon and choose Program Settings.
Browse to Sounds tab of settings.
Allow and check if they’re correctly configurated…
Oh, when do you expect to listen the voice? Are you really updating or there is not an update right now?
If your computer is updated, even running the update, you won’t listen the voice…
What have you set the Program Settings, Update (Basic) settings to ?
I believe this only works if you have it on Automatic, I don’t hear it in Ask and I believe the same is correct on Manual as you should know when an update has been done.
David,
Mine is set for automatic on both. I was also missing the update announcements for
a long time.
I finally have them back but it took a complete removal of avast! to accomplish it.
I had removed avast! to do a beta test of the ZoneAlarm Suite.
After I completed my tests, I removed the ZA Security Suite and installed avast! again. I currently have
voice announcements after the VPS (Virus Data Base) updates.
Thanks Bob.
