The network shield of Avast warns me with this text " LSA SS Exploit SXP blocked" with attack to 445 channel.
What is the meaning of such a warning ?
I’ve got windows SP2 and it is up to date.
My browser is mainly Mozila Firefox but I use IE too, and the increminated message appears with both systems.
My firewall is Kerio Personal Firewall with no licence (30 days evaluation).
I’ve just scanned my computer with Avast and no infected file has been found.
What can I do to avoid this kind of attack ?
Thanks for your help
What is the meaning of such a warning ?It means exactly what it says. Avast has blocked a attack on your system. Malware has infected a non patched system and now is trying to spread itself from that system. Your system is just one of the many it is trying to spread itself to.
What can I do to avoid this kind of attack ?There is nothing you can do about it. The attack is comming from a system other than yours. And you have no influence on it. You only can block attacks and keep your system as secure as possible/wanted.
Ok thanks for your help.
So I just have to pray and strenghen my system…
new to this forum"

Well, you don’t need to make that effort to believe… It’s up to you, but you will call tons of users of fool if you don’t believe in avast! 8)
JOLLY ROGERIt is just a name the people from Alwil has given to the update process. Nothing to worry about at all. They could have named it James, pancake or whatever.

Someone with a sense of humour at Alwil I think, Avast, the program name was a term often used by pirates of old, who also flew the Jolly Roger ;D
