Refer to photos attached please
1 “SSL Accounts” - shows outlook 2007 with all 5 accounts plus 1 where my folders will be stored for saving and on the bottom it shows e-mail being downloaded, Avast Mail Shield not scanning and the ssl accounts list.
2 “Mail Shield Statistics” - shows that it was scanning earilier in the day
3 “5 Email pops” - Shows my settings, in order, for those pop accounts. (yes e-mail 4 and 5 are still encrypted and this was the only way I could get them to go through so really I dont expect to be seeing those go through the scanners.
4 “Redirect Settings” - Showing that if they required an odd port I listed it here and took out the ones I didnt use per the manual.
I, just today, deleated avast and deleated all my pst’s for outlook (had a small problem with avast I think an update screwed up but all is better now). I deceided to add all my e-mail accounts to outlook and after a few hours I got them in there and working. weird part as you can see from photo 2 while I was fine tunning the ports so they can send out I had mail going through avast, by fine tunning I mean SMTP ports had to be changed to 587 on the e-mail for them to send out. Well I always turn outlook to offline when im making changes like that as to not screw up something. well before I could turn it offline I received a few e-mails and it registered in avast along with all the testing e-mails I did while setting them up. I turn outlook back to online restart pc and well nothing. avast just sits there not scanning.
Can someone tell me where I screwed up, I spent alot of time setting these up and my head hurts.
