I see similar posts here for “popups” but this is the main avast window reopening and stealing focus every 5 minutes despite silent mode being engaged. I am updated to the latest version and have done a repair and rebooted and it persists. Has anyone else got this issue with build 2510.10528.0?

First, I’m an Avast user and not an Avast Team member.
Others are reporting similar occurrences but not in the volume you are stating, looking in the Avast Antivirus section of the forum.
Can you give some details on what is being displayed, e.g. just UI or a specific part of the UI.
You can capture a screenshot, save it to your local drive and use file explorer or other similar program and drag and drop the image into your post.
Thanks for the responses. It is just the UI, telling me it is in silent mode, ironically. If I dont close it, it does nothing - if I close it, it reopens almost immediately on the same pane.
I’m running into this exact same issue though mine started more frequently (it has been slowing down somewhat) and on Avast Premium. It appears like there was a similar issue back in 2020 (avast-opening-randomly/760298/31) and it seems like it got addressed but the message linked at the bottom of the post seems to be gone. I seem to be able to minimize the UI (To the task bar rather than the icon) to prevent the pop-up but its still rather annoying.
I’m on Windows 10, Just started happening today and I can confirm that it wasn’t happening yesterday.

It seems that similar to the above mentioned post, its popping up every time it updates the virus definition as the update timestamp is in-line, but switching to manual updates doesn’t seem to help.
I am having this issue also, just in the last 24 hours or so. Windows 10, silent mode. About ready to uninstall, to be honest.

I just got back to check on my second PC and the UI was open, but has not reopened since i closed it on this machine FWIW. It seems to have subsided on the work PC as well, will reconfirm when I am back there tomorrow.
Woke up to it open on both machines with an upsell popup on top of the main UI despite silent mode. Are we looking at a deliberate ramping up of notificatrions through the main UI here?
Edit: Confirmed to have reopened after an hour on both machines. Yeah this is going to be an uninstall if it isnt addressed, it just interupted work on a production site.
Last night the popups stopped occurring for a good few hours. I had assumed they fixed it. They have not as this morning it started occurring again. I can’t imagine this is on purpose because its an insane degree of interruption, even for Avast.

Just started yesterday as well. about 24 hours ago and keeps popping up continually every 20 seconds or so if i close it. super weird
Premium user here and this same thing is happening now after recent upgrade. Keeps telling me it’s in silent mode, stealing focus and forcing me to deal with the window. I turned off silent mode and then turn on limited mode. This seems to have stopped the relentless pop up window for now. This has to be a bug, I have not had this problem in the past. But if it continues, I won’t renew Avast, I will buy a different product.

i just moved it down to the bottom on a side so far it hasn’t been popping back up, unlike when you minimize it. .
Not minimizing it was working and then it just started stealing focus without being minimized. Best of luck
