okk, heres what i did. I read a lot more forums, mostly where you helped others I followed some instructions. i skipped over and used the fixlist to remove the services aswrvrt.sys and etc. after that classpnp.sys started showing the same issue, i saw one guy had similar issues. he had used sfc /offbootdir… command i did the same. after that i was able to pass the starting windows logo barrier BUT at Windows login screen my key and mouse were frozen, they worked in bios with out no problem. i defaulted my bios and now classpnp.sys is troubling again
The most common cause is the executing PnP (Plug and Play) and ACPI routines issue.
To fix the issue, we need to access the computer from Recovery Console.
If you do have your Windows CD
Windows 7 and Vista screenshots
When you reboot you will see this.

At the command prompt type the following :
Type map and press enter.
It will give you the drive letters.
Note down the letter of your CD-ROM./USB
If it is a letter other than E you should replace the letter E with your CD drive letter when applying the expand command later on if the command is needed to be applied.
Type following commmands, pressing Enter after each one.
[*]ren c:\windows\system32\drivers\atapi.sys atapi.old
(It will returns to the prompt again without notification)
[*]copy c:\windows\servicepackfiles\i386\atapi.sys c:\windows\system32\drivers
(If you get a notification “1 file(s) copied” you don’t need to do the next expand command and go to exit command. But if you get notification that the file doesn’t exist proceed with expand command)[*]expand e:\I386\atapi.sy_ c:\windows\system32\drivers
(You should be notified that the file expanded)[*]exit
You may remove the CD or let Windows boot normally.
i have another problem. when i defaulted my bios, it changed the SATA MODE to AHCI. when in AHCI the classpnp.sys issue struck. when i made it IDE my harddrive is no longer there. my pc booted to usb with windows setup. now, i browsed my pc by going to system image recovery(just to browse my pc and copy paste my files to back them up), the problem is that in IDE mode the setup doesnt locate my windows, the files are there though bt when change to AHCI it locates the windows
now im confused which it should be cause i did your step, after reboot… when in IDE mode it just went to bios, it didnt find my HDD. when in AHCI it got stuck at classpnp.sys…
thanks for being patient with my… persistant problems @_@
okk, after 3 reboots bios finally found my hdd in ide mode but… the key and mouse is stuck again. the screen isnt frozen cause the box where i type pass is blinking, i just cant move anything.
Are you using a USB mouse ?
Have you tried startup repair again ?
okk, i renamed classpnp.sys to classpnp.old. NOW it gets stuck at disk.sys… now what do i do?
In this case the only option is to re-install I am afraid
