the whole issue with this aswrvrt.sys happened happened suddenly, my system was stable, running as smoothly as usual till this morning when i boot my pc and… got locked out of everything googling the issue lead me here, i read some of the topics but they didnt help. my issue is as follow ::
windows is stuck in “windows error recovery” with the options Safe mode, Safe mode with networking, Safe mode with command prompt, Last knowon gpod configuration (advanced) and Start windows normally. NONE of these are working, for the safe modes, the driver loading gets stuck at aswrvrt.sys and for the other two, they get stuck at “starting windows”.
now,for some reason booting from cd/dvd drives arent working. i used my windows dvd bt it did not boot and then used my friends and it didnt boot either. its as if no dvd is inserted at all! (dvd drive and disks are all functioning)
now what?? im posting this from my cell, im really in trouble here
Thanks for the reply, I guess i got spooked and panicked when I was locked out of everything. Thanks for being patient with me and i’ll patiently wait for help
Thanks again for the reply. I’ve been reading other threads in this site regarding the dreaded aswrvrt.sys issue. It seemed a risk to start doing anything before I got help from you guys so I’ll patiently wait for a reply to my cause. I just hope I wont have to reinstall a new windows :-\

mmm, my dvd drive is fully functional when i used it in his pc. okk, ignoring the dvd, what else can i do?? is it possible to workout things without a dvd or should i get a portable dvd drive?
will it work? if i do a clean installation will the aswrvrt.sys issue go away or Avast be persistant some how? i know that bitdefender stays even after a clean windows setup…
also using the bootable usb, i tried to repair windows. in startup repair, windows attempted repair twice by reverting to an older system restore but didnt work. it said that repair was success but everything was the same
when i boot from the usb, after loading windows files amd selecting languge and stuff, theres an Install Windows screen with option to install windows. in the other threads, people clicked on repair your computer and got tons of option including cmd but im not getting any option, startup recovery starts
okk found it, i had to cancel the automated search for problems and then select advance options. I’ll use FRST now. thanks for being patient, im kinda panicking right now @_@
