Hey,
So for a long time now I’ve had a major issue regarding Windows 10 apps (like GrooveMusic) and applications I developed using Visual Studio (2015). Problem is that GrooveMusic couldn’t open at all and crashed at start, I’ve tried to zero the source of the issue for months without success until yesterday. The problem originates from Avast! itself. In fact, it was an option called “DeepScreen” that was preventing GrooveMusic from loading. Obviously it looks like a major bug especially for non initiated people who cannot pinpoint such issue. After disabling “DeepScreen” everything went back to normal with GrooveMusic.
Regarding Visual Studio, it is even worse. I’m a software developer, using Microsoft technologies and C# most of the time, at this moment on the latest version of Avast! is preventing any of the applications developed with Visual Studio (even an empty console application) from running outside Visual Studio emulator. After turning “DeepScreen” off, everything works perfectly fine.
So even if I found a workaround this issue, this is a major issue for any software developer using Visual Studio since Avast! is an antivirus, it is rather tricky to ask people to turn off certain features of it to run our applications.
