Major Problems....Need major help

OK… i got Avast a week ago and it seems great, it is .

But i have had a whole load of problems…it keeps blocking loads of programs saying that it has a virus, mostly “Ramnit-G”

It may be right or it may be wrong, but regardless it has done things such as;

  • Blocked Ableton Live
  • Blocked Java and Flash on Google Chrome
  • Blocked Skype

I contacted support and they told me what to do i.e. add it to the exclusion sections on real time shields and application rules under firewall but…the problems havent gone away…i’ll reinstall and all will be fine until i restart my laptop…

Anyone had any problems like this? Or know anything i can do…i would be so greatful.

Ask for a second opinion by our malware expert “essexboy”, but I think the only option left is format and re-install,

I would go with Avasts diagnosis

But for a second opinion

Download Dr Web from here http://www.freedrweb.com/?lng=en link on the top right of the page, tick the EULA and then download

It will download as an 8 digit file save it to your desktop

Restart in safe mode and run
Accept the enhanced version
Then run the quick scan
About halfway through you will be prompted to buy - just X the box closed
Once finished it will generate a log please attach that
