MAL:URI Virus / Trojan

Hi, I recently received warnings from AVAST concerning MAL:URI (hxxp) being blocked. After following the suggestions on this site on running MWB and other tools, I still see warnings when booting up the machine. Last warning I received mentions a Trojan being blocked, right after booting into Windows. Soon after I also see a popup message complaining about a missing JVM - I am not sure if they are related. I took measure of removing JAVA entirely from my machine.

FYI, I got an AppCrash when running aswmbr.exe, about 30 mins into running the program.

Thanks for your help!

Eric

Let me know if this stops the boot warnings

Thanks for the assistance. I followed your guidance, attached are the results.

Note that I still have the JVM error message on boot:

No JVM could be found on your system
Please define EXE4J_JAVA_HOME

Thanks,
Eric

OK for the JVM problem please uninstall Java using JavaRa http://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/javara.html select “Remove JRE”
Then download the latest JRE from here http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/jre8-downloads-2133155.html

See screenshot for your version. Once done let me know how the computer is behaving
