MALICIOUS URL BLOCKED

Okay so this is the first time I have ever posted anything but I’m so beyond annoyed with my computer that I’ve decided to try and see if I can get some help! Please and thank you to anyone who can help

Avast keeps popping up with these red box messages saying that it’s blocked a malicious url even if I’m not on the web. I have tried malwarebytes and the avast full scan, which picked up nothing and the problem still persists. I know that it has to do with the Network shield which is picking up this malicious url/virus/worm…if my computer is infected with a virus any assistance in what to do will be helpful!!!

I have done a scan with a program I saw on another forum, don’t know if it’ll help but here it is:

Please follow the logs in assist to clean malware topic on the top of the viruses and worms section and open a new topic there. Maybe your system is infected.

Could you attach a screenshot of the Avast alert as well as that may give more information

Hi…I updated my avast to the 2014 version and it seems to have miraculously sorted out the problem ;D

If problem comes back…i’ll be back to post

Okay so the annoying messages are back…updating avast didn’t miraculously solve the problem :frowning:
I’ve attached the screen shot

Try this https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout

I tried it but unfortunately it didn’t help
