Malicious URL: hxxp://23.perclickforppc.com/.../

Pretty much the same topic as: http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=106041.0
In this case, the number has been different and started as a 14, then 17, then 22 and now a 23, if this is relevant in any form.

I’ve scanned my computer with Avast, AVG and Malwarebytes but no threats have been found. I was tempted to use the OTL script from that forum I mentioned above but am not sure if it will work on my computer even though the problem sounds exactly the same.

Do you want me to rescan and attach the logs or is there a sure fire way/script on OTL that will fix the problem without needing to rescan?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Please attach your logs. (AdwCleaner, MBAM, OTL and aswMBR…!!)
Instructions: http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=53253.0

I forgot to mention that is occurs for both Yahoo and Google searches and only occurs on Firefox. This problem does not occur on Google Chrome. Also, half the time the same url pops up when I go to Yahoo.com (my homepage) but not on going to the google homepage but always occurs on both search engines.

Attached is the AdwCleaner scan results.
The problem still occurs (now it is 24.perclickforppc)

Please hold on while I attach the other results (they take several hours to rescan my computer)

Attached is the MWBytes log. One threat removed.

Attached is OTL’s report.

aswMBR saved log

Are you still getting the alerts ?

The alerts are now gone. I assume that it is fixed now.

Many, many thanks in advance for helping me alleviate the situation.

Regards.

Subject to no further problems

I will remove my tools now and give some recommendations, but, I would like you to run for 24 hours or so and come back if you have any problems
