At first I used Microsoft Security Essentials to scan my computer (never did it before, I know, stupid)
It detected things like win32:sefnit.xx etc. , so I deleted it using MSE. After that I scanned it again, but it detected those sefnit things again, so I deleted it again. After that I installed Avast!
I couldn’t run a full system scan because the pc kept getting stuck. But Avast has detected things like win32:BProtect-H , win32:Trojan-gen , win32:PUP-gen and JS:BProtect-A.
I’ve put those things in the Virus Chest now. Should I delete them?
Now I’ve followed the instructions given in http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=53253.0
I’ll provide the logs. Is it clean now and free of any malware etc.? Don’t know if MSE and Avast are enough to get rid of these.
Hope I did it correctly. I’m a total noob in this. I hope you can help me. Thanks in advance!
Note: You need to run the version compatibale with your system. If you are not sure which version applies to your system download both of them and try to run them.
Only one of them will run on your system, that will be the right version.
[*]Double-click to run it. When the tool opens click Yes to disclaimer.
[*]Press Scan button.
[*]It will make a log (FRST.txt) in the same directory the tool is run. Please attach it to your reply.
[*]The first time the tool is run, it makes also another log (Addition.txt). Please attach it to your reply.
These looks clean. We will just hunt some remains …
