malwarebytes Q

I have malwarebytes free, Avast free, and Windows defender, but still have malware issues.

Should I get malwarebytes premium, and uninstall my other programs thru add/remove programs?

And use Malwarebytes Premium as my AV?

You might want to have a malware expert take a look see what they can find.

thanks
after removing an extra antimalware app, i noticed my pc behaving better.
maybe im good, idk

my scan was clean, startup was much slower yesterday

See Asyn’s sticky post here: https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=211973.0

Missing information is what operating system you are running: Windows/Android/Mac?

See link for removal of old a/v’s at the bottom of Asyn’s first post.

Malwarebytes Anti-Malware is not really an antivirus but a companion to them. It is compatible to most major antivirus vendors.

I’d still submit logs so a certified malware expert can clean your system if needed. In any case, he/she will need to see the logs to do so.

[EDIT:] Corrected spelling.

You’re welcome.

terribly sorry for my delayed reply.

i greatly appreciate your assistance

i kept forgetting to check this blog. i should get my pw and log in on phoe tomorrow

If you were running Avast and Defender in real time then there is a distinct possibility that is why your computer was running slow. Run either Avast or Defender along with MBAM you’ll be well protected.

thanks
it isnt slow since i removed an exta antispyware prgrm that was usin TOO MUCH MEMORY… superantispyware…not so super

SuperAntiSpyware is most certainly a ‘Resource Hog’ of huge proportion.

Not to mention the previous comment by digmor crusher:

yah, mey defender isn’t running now. i hope win10 updates next time its requested. is the po avast better where malwarebytes wouldn’t be needed?/

As Mchain stated in Reply#3

“Malwarebytes Anti-Malware is not really an antivirus but a companion to them. It is compatible to most major antivirus vendors.”

You’re welcome.

I use Avast and MBam on all my machines.
