Many Users Underestimate Mobile Malware Threats A new survey from Trend Micro reveals http://news.softpedia.com/news/Many-Users-Underestimate-Mobile-Malware-Threats-120491.shtmlA considerable percentage of mobile users are not concerned about the risks they are exposed to when accessing the Internet from their devices, a recent study concludes. Antivirus vendor Trend Micro found that 44 percent of over 1,000 users surveyed are not practicing safe browsing from their phones.
I don’t think it is so much an underestimation of the risk, but ignorance of it and the old adage ‘ignorance is bliss.’
So True
But if I go to an infected website with Psp what will happen?
What is Psp, Paint Shop Pro is one such abbreviation, the wrong one no doubt ?
If you haven’t read the original article then I suggest you do as that should give a better idea.
Considering the article is about mobile phones with operating systems, if the Playstation Portable is able to connect to the internet then it is entirely possible for its OS to also be infected. But I don’t know what kind of target it would present, e.g. market size (to make it worth their while bothering to try and infect them) and what OS it uses.
I don’t know what kind of os it uses, but everything is stored on a flash card, which when plugged into a computer (as many psp users will) could present an issue I think…
Like any USB and autorun infection attempts.
So perhaps it needs to be protected by using “Flash Disinfector.”
Yes, I’d agree
Only if, a) you don’t practice safe hex and go poking it into unknown systems nd b) you don’t take reasonable precautions.
I have never had an infected USB.
+1
Same for me, bit of a surprise really, seeing as I use it at school…
