Apparently I have a worm that is sending itself to everyone in my contacts. It did the same thing a month ago. I have run complete scans and Avast has found nothing. Is this sort of worm normally detected by Avast ?
Please attach your logs.

how do you read your mail?
Is this a webmail account (especially Hotmail) or a pop3 account you access through your email program ?
The reason I mention Hotmail is that they have recently has a security breach where user accounts were taken over. Though this usually changed the password so the user couldn’t get back in either.
It’s Hotmail and I have no problems using it. I’m currently running a malwarebytes scan.
so you go to hotmail.com and log in?
then the problem is on your mail account and not in your computer
have you changed password?
I actually never logout of hotmail. I’ll do so and change my password.
