Message : licence will expire

I have avast! Home edition version 4.5.561, and when I’ve started my PC I’ve got a message telling me that my licence will soon be expired.

Can you tell me where the problem comes from and what can I do ?

Sincerely.

I don’t think there is a problem. The key for the free (home) version is valid for 14 months. Than you need to get a new key. (also for free, from the website)

You can check if your system date/time are correct too…

Have you registered on-line and received your registration key?

If not you have 60 days using the trial key to try the program and register Free.

I get the same message at each logon to the internet, but it doesn’t say that the LICENSE will expire. It’s a red box that says my Automatic Anti-Virus updating
will soon expire. Doesn’t say when that will be, though. When I click on the
hyperlinked words in the red popup box, it opens a tree that shows all the
AWIL components installed on my machine and my license number. But I can’t
do anything but view it. There’s no date, or other clickable links on this tree.

As more and more people near the threshold expiration and scratch their
heads about the meaning of the Red PopUp box, AWIL will respond by adding
something to the FAQ section, I hope. -Bert

In the About box, there’s a “Registration key” section. If you expand it, the information should be there.
