I installed the version free of avast and it works correctly.
The alone problem is that to the opening of my PC, I have a message concerning Avast that indicates me that it detected the presence of Kasperski antivirus and that consequently of the protections résidentes are blocked because two antivirus cannot be active at the same time.
Nevertheless, I deinstalled KAV and I have even cleaned the register basis concerning it but the message always appears.
Is this someone met a similar problem?
What I then to do to eliminate it?
According to which Kaspersky product you were using (http://www.ice-kav.com/tools.php):
KAV 5.x removal utility: KAV_Registry_Clean.zip
KAV 4.5x removal utilty: KAV_Rem.zip
AntiHacker removal utilty: KAH_Rem.zip
Please do NOT use Kaspersky anti-hacker together with Avast!
It seems that Kaspersky writes something in the registry that is picked up by Avast! that makes Avast! think there’s another AV program installed.
Allthough this is not the case (KAH is a firewall, not an anti-virus prog) Avast! will nag you about this.
Please download Autoruns from Sysinternals.com and search for entries signed by Kaspersky Labs. Simply uncheck them.
DEAR DEVELOPERS!!!
Please make a checkbox “Don’t show this message again” in the popup tigron speaks of! I am thinking of installing AOL Active Virus Shield, but I don’t want to click on Yes every boot!
This is an AOL Active Virus Shield issue in my opinion.
I could not find a way to install it as a backup, second, non-resident, antivirus without ‘conflicting’ with avast.
Did you find a way to do so?
I just wanna say that I agree with disabling avast! shields, but I don’t want to click on that popup after every boot. Just one checkbox to not show this popup anymore, whenever shields are disabled to avoid conflicts.
Or maybe there are registry items that determine its displaying?
I thank all those that replied me. That has me helped a lot since my problem is deleted.
I don’t know exactly this that allowed the resolution because I tried all this that was suggested me in this post.
I did not find the file KLIF.sys :This did not be therefore that. The most probable one, this is the usage of the utilitity KAV 5.x removal utility: KAV_Registry_Clean.zip
The problem was more important than I did not think it sincein more of the window that opened to the load of Windows XP, I realized than three services of Avast, on the seven presents, were blocked:
Standard shield
Peer2peer shield
I am therefore in the process of remaking a complete scan of my computer since it correctly was not protected.
